Mission

Our mission is to help everyone get and keep a job they love.
We put it on the homepage because missions that live in a PDF are easy to ignore. This one has to survive a bad week. It has to mean something when you are counting tips. It has to mean something when you are overqualified and still not calling back.
Get is the first half. People need a real opening, a way to apply, and a shot that does not depend on knowing the right cousin. Keep is the second half. A job you cannot stay in is a payday, not a life. Love is the test. If you cannot say the work out loud without shame or dread, we are not done.

What love means here
Love is not a dream board. It is dignity. It is a schedule you can survive. It is coworkers who do not treat you like furniture. It is enough money to say yes to a birthday dinner. It is work that uses what you are good at, even if the title is ordinary.
Plenty of jobs are hard. Hard is not the enemy. Contempt is the enemy. Exhaustion without a path out is the enemy. A hiring process designed to make you feel lucky for crumbs is the enemy.
When we say everyone, we mean the person who did not finish school and the person who finished too much school. We mean the person who has never been interviewed and the person who has been interviewed until they hate their own voice.

How we carry the mission
We operate a website that helps Americans search and apply to over 4 million jobs. That is the engine. Mentorship and ongoing career support are how we stay human once the engine is running. A tool that only dumps listings and walks away is not a mission. It is a feed.
We measure ourselves by whether people can actually apply, whether help is available when they are stuck, and whether we keep the door open after they are hired. We do not measure ourselves by how premium the brand feels.
What we will not become
We will not make charging job seekers the center of Curastem. Limited other activity can exist. It cannot own the story. If the organization ever starts sounding like a luxury career club, we have failed the people in the first paragraph of this page.
Curastem is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. EIN 39-2326761. 4958 Sereno Drive, Temple City, CA 91780. Gifts support this mission. They are not payment for a product SKU.
If this mission sounds like your own, Donate. If you need help, start at curastem.org/contact. We cannot promise a specific job. We can promise we are pointed at you, not at a vanity metric.
A sentence we have to earn
Helping everyone get and keep a job they love is easy to type and hard to live. We will fail some days. Listings will be wrong. Mentorship will not be instant. Support will not cover every industry in every town on the first try.
Earning the sentence means we keep choosing the person who is hard to serve over the story that is easy to post. It means we tell the truth when we cannot help yet. It means we do not dress scarcity up as exclusivity.
If you hold us to that, you are doing us a favor. Mission without witnesses turns into wallpaper.
